Nadat u telefonisch uw eerste afsrpaak heeft gemaakt, ontvangt u van ons een bevestigingsbrief met een vragenlijst (deze vragenlijst is ook te zien op deze website, bij 'formulier'). We verzoeken u vriendelijk om de vragenlijst in te vullen en deze mee te nemen naar uw eerste afspraak. De ingevulde informatie geeft ons een compleet overzicht van uw klacht en uw gehele lichamelijke situatie.
Het eerste consult begint met een vraaggesprek met de chiropractor. U bespreekt uw klachten en uw medische voorgeschiedenis. Vervolgens vindt er een uitgebreid lichamelijk onderzoek plaats. De chiropractor doet chiropractische, orthopedische en neurologische testen en er wordt een iDXA Total Bodyscan gemaakt. Indien gewenst zullen we röntgenfoto's opvragen of laten maken, zodat we alle benodigde informatie hebben.
Het tweede consult.
Tijdens uw tweede afspraak worden de resulaten van het onderzoek besproken. De chiropractor zal duidelijk uitleggen wat de oorzaak is van uw klachten en wat zijn diagnose is. Hij/zij zal aangeven of u voor chiropractische behandeling in aanmerking komt. Als de chiropractor verwacht dat chiropractie uw klachten niet kan verminderen, zal dit aan u worden medegedeeld.
In de meeste gevallen kan de chiropractor u gelukkig wel helpen. Vervolgens wordt er door de chiropractor een behandelplan opgesteld. Als u akkoord gaat met het behandelplan, dan wordt tijdens dit tweede consult begonnen met de chiropractische behandelingen.
First visit
One of our doctors will talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. If he or she can help you, the doctor will let you know. If he or she cannot help you, you will be refered to another doctor in Heemstede or Zaandijk that will be able to help you the most. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent. Examination
After a thorough consultation in our office with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. Thiswill include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well asother standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and physical examinations. Thedoctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that a betterunderstanding of how chiropractic can help you. If necessary, the doctor maytake X-rays or refer you for additional testing procedures.
X-ray
X-ray is sometimes required to get a full evaluation of a patient. The need for X-ray is considered on a case by case basis. Our equipment is state of the art for imaging.
Report of Findings
Once all the information and examinations have been performed, the doctor will give you a report of findings and tell you recommendations for treatment.
Treatment
Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first adjustment. Our special gentle yet effective alignment of the body is interactive with the patient, gentle enough for kids (they love us), yet able to restore function and movement for the athlete and senior.
